Losing Your Sunglasses Means Image Makeover Time!

Where did I put those sunglasses?”

What do car keys, TV remotes and sunglasses all have in common? They always seem to disappear into that famous ‘black hole’ reserved for items we just put down for a moment but when we next look, they’re no longer there!

We are forever trying to look for reading glasses we are sure we have left in the usual place in a jacket pocket, briefcase or bag. But the biggest source of anguish can be losing your cherished designer sunglasses – other than the TV remote, of course, which tends to cause a volcanic eruption of emotional panic rather than the quiet sense of regret at losing your constant companion of the summer!

“I left them on the restaurant table/in the taxi/on the tube/on the bus/on the beach/in the changing room locker …” is the frequently heard list of explanations. It’s almost as if a part of our selves really wants to ‘forget’ to put them back on our head.  We  kind of develop a ‘relationship’ with these small  but powerful extensions of our body image and feel a mild sense of loss, as can be the case when finally chucking out a well worn pair of shoes, along with the memories of all the times you’ve had together!

However, on the upside, you have the opportunity now to update your public persona by buying another pair. In today’s world, the ‘look’ can seem to change almost daily. Grabbing a delicious pair of latest cool frames from your friendly online opticians can, like buying many items online, be linked to frequently changing offers on  designer glasses with discount codes.

You need to replace your sunglasses every season anyway! You cannot commit the cardinal sin of being seen out sporting last year’s look! The prices online are just so different from the high street, you might as well do what most wise owls do and buy a few pairs and give yourself options on accessory coordination.

Or at least buy a back up replacement pair for when the inevitable happens, and you get to hear yourself say once more, “ I only put them down for a moment …!”
